The most popular Auto coupe Maruti Suzuki may launch its ultimate hatchback swift in a new look this year. Sources said – company is going to launch all new Maruti Swift 2011 this may only. The most attractive part which makes it different from all is its better dynamic look, increased performance and improved CO2 emissions with economical presence. New Swift comes in both petrol and diesel versions in six different variants. It ranges from Rs. 5,00,000/- to 7,00,000/-.

Company has expected to launch it in few days. Even dealers have started taking bookings for this, sources said. 2011 model of Maruti Swift is expected to be available in eight different colors and in 6 variants, three of petrol i.e. LXi, VXi, ZXi, and three of diesel i.e. LDi, VDi and ZDi. Petrol version will be powered by 1.2 liter K-series engine which delivers a maximum power of 84 BHP@6000 RPM and a torque of 115NM@ 4500RPM while Diesel version with 1248cc engine produced the maximum power of 75BHP@4000 RPM and a torque of 190NM @2000 RPM. Both the models come with a top speed of 160Km while it reaches the speed of 0 to 100km/hr in 10 seconds.
Expected Safety Features:
The new swift will be equipped with modern safety features with accessory attached like 2 airbags, automatic climate control, adjustable seats, 12V accessory socket in the luggage area, electromagnetic type tailgate opener, rear window wiper and de-mister, dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), keyless entry etc.

Unofficially the Maruti Swift is expected to launch by the end of July, Maruti officials are silent about it.
The new model will launch in mid August. The bookings have started for the same.

All features of New Maruti swift 2011 are excellant except ground clearance (140 mm in height) which is very narrow and not sufficient for Indian road conditions. This has to be increased to at least 170 mm to 180 mm so that car will get acceptability by variety of people or otherwise it will jeopardized the decision of customers preference. Maruti has to take care of this point and fullfill the demand of the well wishers of Maruti

well, the company sources said that the ZXi (with the alloys) comes shod with 185/70 R14 rubber whereas the other variants come with 165/80 R14.
I spoke to the staff in Maruti and apparently they said that Indian version is going to have 170/175mm ground clearance depending on the variants. Top-end might have 175mm ground clearance. I am hoping that Maruti doesn’t replicate their European variant as is in India.

New Swift is really copy and paste style. Old swift looks still much better than new.
What they did is
1. They tried to make i20 by reducing height
2. Back is copy of nissan micra
3. Front is copy Ridz (Own car)
4. Allows is copy of sx4 (own car)
5. Little changes in interior
