Kia Introduces New Seltos Variants with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

The New Kia Seltos

Kia, known for its commitment to innovation and safety, has recently launched new variants of the popular Seltos SUV equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These cutting-edge features have gained immense popularity among customers, with ADAS variants accounting for a substantial 47% of all Seltos bookings.

The latest additions to the Seltos lineup, the GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants, come with an array of advanced safety and convenience features. Positioned between the HTX+, GTX+, and X-Line trims, these variants offer an attractive package for discerning buyers.

One of the standout features of the GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants is their 18-inch crystal-cut glossy Black alloy wheels, which not only enhance the SUV‘s aesthetics but also contribute to a smoother ride. Additionally, both variants include an Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, providing added convenience during urban and off-road driving scenarios.

While these new variants offer several impressive features, it’s important to note that they do differ slightly from their higher-priced counterparts, the GTX+ and X-Line trims. For instance, the GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) miss out on the premium Bose audio system and the 360-degree camera, which are exclusive to the top-tier variants. However, Kia has equipped these newcomers with a capable 6-speaker audio system and a rearview camera to ensure an enjoyable driving experience.

Under the hood, customers have two engine options to choose from. The GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants are available with a robust 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a smooth 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Additionally, those who prefer diesel power can opt for the 1.5-litre diesel engine, which comes mated to a responsive 6-speed automatic gearbox.

One of the most significant advantages of introducing these new ADAS-equipped variants is the anticipated reduction in waiting periods. Previously, customers had to endure waiting times of 15-16 weeks, but with the introduction of the GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants, Kia expects the average waiting period to decrease significantly to just 7-9 weeks.

Here are the ex-showroom prices for the new Kia Seltos variants equipped with ADAS:

1.5L Turbo Petrol 7DCT

  • GTX+ (S) – Rs 19,39,900
  • X-Line (S) – Rs 19,59,900

1.5L Diesel 6AT

  • GTX+ (S) – Rs 19,39,900
  • X-Line (S) – Rs 19,59,900

With the introduction of these new variants, Kia continues to enhance its Seltos lineup, catering to the diverse needs of Indian consumers and reaffirming its commitment to delivering advanced safety and convenience features to its customers. The Seltos, with its ADAS-equipped variants, is poised to offer a remarkable driving experience in the competitive Indian SUV market.
