Global Debut of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 S Facelift

Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled the 2024 facelift for the Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 S, adding new features and enhancing the appeal of this powerful crossover. While not a complete overhaul, the changes contribute to a refreshed look for this high-performance model.

Front Facelift

The facelift starts at the front, where the 2024 GLA 45 S now boasts a redesigned grille, updated air intakes, and fresh LED light signatures in its headlights. The optional Multibeam LED headlights offer even more illumination. On the hood, an AMG crest is a subtle but noticeable addition.

One of the more subtle yet significant alterations can be found in the wheel arch extensions, which are now body-colored rather than black. Red brake calipers, 19-inch alloys (standard), and updated LED taillights round out the exterior upgrades. Customers can opt for two available 20-inch wheel designs, each featuring a dual five-spoke style, or even larger 21-inch wheels.

Unchanged Powerhouse

Under the hood, the 2024 GLA 45 S retains its impressive 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 416 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque in European specifications. This engine remains a powerhouse, propelling the crossover from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds, with a top speed of 168 mph.

Versatile Transmission

The eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox in the GLA 45 S is a technical marvel, featuring two multi-plate clutches—one for each rear wheel. This system allows for variable power distribution between the front and rear axles and even between the rear wheels, optimizing traction and performance.

Customers can also choose from a range of interior materials, including Microcut microfiber, Bahia Brown, Artico faux leather in Sage Grey/Black, and the newly available Red Pepper/Black leather seat coverings from Mercedes-AMG.
